Overview

This was a private project I took on in my free time: designing a poster and printed materials for the Kunstx3 exhibition in Anger (Weiz), which featured three local artists.

The exhibition ran from April to June and I created the full visual communication, from the main poster to invitations and info cards for the space itself.

Process

The Brief

One of the artists approached me with a basic idea: create a minimalistic poster for a three-person art exhibition. I received a few inputs and references, and then got started.

Preparation

Before designing, I contacted several exhibition partners to clarify the final details: location, dates, and supporting institutions. Once I had all the info gathered, I could move forward with layout and typography.

Design Approach

The artists’ work was quite diverse, so I aimed to keep the visual style clean, calm, and balanced — letting the information speak clearly, without visual noise.

I used a minimal grid, soft color contrasts, and an open layout that leaves room to breathe.

Final Thoughts

I really enjoyed working on a non-digital project for a change, it pushed me out of my usual comfort zone of designing for screens.

It was such a nice feeling to hold the finished prints in my hands and to see them displayed in real spaces. Even better was watching how people reacted to the posters and invitations.
